My Furry Little Family:

We don't have any two-legged children, only four-legged. If we end up meeting you'll notice I will always have hair on me. It’s something that I’ve gotten used to thanks to these hairy guys! From left to right: Brodie, Dallas and Max  aka Old Man. Brodie is the sweet one who is an awesome snuggler and gives the best hugs. Dallas is the goofy one that never stops barking (so if we talk on the phone he will talk to you, too). Max is our old man that is really smelly and sleeps all day.

 Happily Ever After:

Speaking of my happily ever after, my husband and I, Brandon, are newlyweds -October 18, 2014. We've been together 6 1/2 years and he is my best friend. He supports all that I do, including this little business of mine. You'll probably catch him on his weekends off helping me with wedding stuff - whether that's carrying all the heavy things for me, painting, making something - you know, guy stuff that I turn pretty! He's a pretty  cool husband!

I love, love, love my family - especially my two nephews (cutest. nuggets. ever. - sorry fam, they're my fav!), sweet tea, boiled peanuts, cowboy boots, Target (what girl doesn't?), thrifting, animals and everything that has to do with Fall - pumpkins, hay, Halloween, the color orange, plaid, cool weather (what little bit we get here in Florida)! I'm so blessed to be able to do what I love and have family and friends who love and support me. God has treated me well!

Then there was 1018!

So, you are probably wondering where the numbers in my company name came from ... well, 1018 just so happens to be my husband and I's wedding date - October 18! I struggled with what to name my business - lets get real, this is a big decision! Should it be my name, a color, an object, a feeling - it all came down to my very special day. It only made sense that if I'm going to run a business focused on helping couples achieve happily ever after, why wouldn't I choose a name that reminds me of my happily ever after? So every time I update Facebook or hand someone a business card, I'm reminded of the one I love and why I love doing what I do. I have the best job ever!


Howdy! It would be rude of me to not introduce myself! My name is Lindsay and I'm so excited that you’ve taken time to look around my website! Let me tell ya' a little about me. I've been planning baby showers, engagement parties, birthday parties, anything I could get my hands on since I was in my early 20s. Even as a child, my mom consistently, and sometimes overbearingly, decorated for every holiday that exists. Every plate, napkin, pillow, frame and whatnot was, and still is, always set up as if it were on display at a Pottery Barn - now I wonder where I get it from?

I started planning events professionally after graduating college - I majored in communications with a focus in public relations. Yes, event planning falls under public relations. I was blessed to have the opportunity to work for a few of Jacksonville’s wonderful nonprofits planning fundraising events and more. Below are some pictures from a few of those events:
